Welcome Spring
After a long winter I'm so excited for spring to finally really be here. I think I'm going to take a little break from blogging and really enjoy the season. I have so many projects that I'm really looking forward to working on. Hope you all have a wonderful Spring time!

Water fall dresser
I found this great water fall dresser at a yard sale...Wow what some people get rid of, and I'm glad they do! Of course I forgot to take the before picture cause I was so excited to start working on it. I removed the drawer pulls, they are so cool and very art deco, I cleaned the metal on them with steel wood. I love the amber color on the pulls. Once I sanded it down and wiped it off with paint thinner I was ready to paint. Then I sanded the edges and stained them with mahogany stain, wiping off the excess with a little paint thinner. I love the way this piece turned out and the wonderful details on it.

Oh, Cristie, I was looking at the posts at Costal Charm and came across this picture. Didn't know it was you! Anything "waterfall" catches my eye. I love the dresser! I have a waterfall desk. . I am sitting at right now. I love the design and everything about it. You are awesome, and you do such a beautiful job. Hope to see you soon. Love ya much, Karie

ReplyDeleteThat Waterfall dresser has more detail than you normally see on a deco dresser. Like how you distressed the detail! Very lovely piece!
