Welcome Spring

After a long winter I'm so excited for spring to finally really be here. I think I'm going to take a little break from blogging and really enjoy the season. I have so many projects that I'm really looking forward to working on. Hope you all have a wonderful Spring time!

Oh my Gourd, is that a vase?

I love going to thrift stores, it's amazing
what people get rid of. I found this gourd that Jeremy had made into a vase,(I know that because he had wood burned his name on the rim, probably a gift he gave his mom, but I love it Jeremy, even if your mom didn't.)OK, so I got a little carried away, I just keep thinking of all those little projects my kids made in school and yes I got rid of some of them too.
Anyway here's how I did it.
I added some rocks to the inside of the gourd to keep it from tipping over. Next I filled it with paper to keep the rocks from rattling around. I hot glued a piece of Styrofoam and add some fall leaves, cattails, acorns and sunflowers.
It turned out to be the perfect vase for my fall arrangement. Thanks again Jeremy.
