Welcome Spring

After a long winter I'm so excited for spring to finally really be here. I think I'm going to take a little break from blogging and really enjoy the season. I have so many projects that I'm really looking forward to working on. Hope you all have a wonderful Spring time!

Turkey basket

This little turkey holds goodies for guests and mostly grand kids. To make him I cut the body out of scrapbook paper and one out of cardboard. I would of cut it out of wood cause it would make it more sturdy, but didn't have anyone to cut it out for me.

I cut out a beak and the wobbler or gobbler, whatever it's called and with a marker added the eyes.

Next I used several different fall scrapbook papers and rolled them into cone shapes. I pressed the bottom half of the cones flat and cut off about three inches. Then I hot glued them to the cardboard body.

Once the feathers were attached I glued the font body piece to the cardboard body with the feathers on the back.

I glued a basket to the front of the turkey and filled it with goodies.
