Welcome Spring

After a long winter I'm so excited for spring to finally really be here. I think I'm going to take a little break from blogging and really enjoy the season. I have so many projects that I'm really looking forward to working on. Hope you all have a wonderful Spring time!

Two cute tables

These are a couple of tables that a friend gave me. I love the style and the little drawer.
As usual I sanded them and then wiped them down with paint thinner.

The smaller table I painted black and sanded the edges and stained them with mahogany stain, then I added a crystal knob to the drawer.
The other table is just a little larger but the same style. I painted it a buttery yellow and I loved the way it turned out.

I planned on selling  both tables at my furniture sale , but the more I thought about the yellow table the more I wanted it for myself. I tried to talk myself out of it but of well, look how cute it looks in my front room.

  2. OMG! I have the same exact table except for different design on post from the legs. I love it and paid about $5 at a yard sale. Painted it off white also. Thanks for sharing. 8>)

  3. These tables are called drum tables since they look like a drum. They are antique and they are Duncan Phyfe designed legs. These went out of vouge but have come back and you made them beautiful for today's style. Great job.

  9. Great job! I bought one of these recently for DD2, $7.50! Trying out a 4 step process that she wants to do on her kitchen cabinets. So far, so good!

  10. Love these little tables. Even as a furniture repurposer myself, I would have had a hard time selling the lighter one. Great job!
