Welcome Spring

After a long winter I'm so excited for spring to finally really be here. I think I'm going to take a little break from blogging and really enjoy the season. I have so many projects that I'm really looking forward to working on. Hope you all have a wonderful Spring time!

New End Table

Don't you just love yard sales where people just give stuff away! I found this end table and loved the shape and the cut outs on the sides.
So I sanded it down, it took a lot of sanding and wiped it down with paint thinner. Next I sprayed it with some primer, and painted it a soft cream color.

I think the scalloped top and the legs make this piece really interesting.
Of course I did some heavy sanding on the edges to give it that aged look.

I really like the difference sanding makes to the table. Once sanded I use mahogany stain and rub it in, then wiped the excess off with a little paint thinner.

Looks better with some of the stain wiped off, gives it a more natural look.

I love the French country look of the table.

I'll be showing off my table at,
